Founders’ Note

Hi Pod World! This week, we wanna hone in on something simple but so powerful — consistency over motivation.

A Note from the Founders

First of all, thank you so much to all our new friends here. Hello from the two of us — Ryna and Robbie. 🤍

Lately, we’ve been thinking a lot about this idea: that not every day is exciting. In fact, most days, we feel tired or even demotivated. And we’ve come to realize, especially as we age a little bit, that what really makes a difference isn’t how we feel — it’s whether we show up anyway.

Tired? Show up anyway.
Not feeling it? Show up anyway.
Stuck? Show up anyway.

Over time, we’ve learned to gently push through those moments — to remind ourselves that working towards our dreams can still be done, even on days when we don’t feel our best.

We came across a quote recently that made us smile: “It’s best to floss your teeth every day, but if you can’t, it’s still better to floss sometimes than not at all.” It’s simple, even a bit funny — but it stuck with us.

Because we feel the same way not just about productivity, but even more about rituals. Rituals are what make everyday responsibilities feel a little lighter, a little more intentional. It’s better to return to them — imperfectly, inconsistently at times — than to abandon them altogether.

Self Care Rituals

Prompts to Stay Consistent

  1. What is one ritual I can return to daily, even in its simplest form

  2. What usually stops me from showing up on certain days?

  3. What is a “low-effort version” of a habit I want to keep?

  4. How can I make it easier to show up, even on difficult days?

  5. What does “showing up for myself” look like right now?

  6. What is one thing I will commit to this week — no matter how small?

Favorite Journals

If you’ve been on the lookout for a leather journal to house your notebooks, here are our favorite ones in the market, both locally and internationally.

Discovered a new café to work and/or journal (and shop) from

If you’re in the mood for some matcha with a bit of shopping, check out Moai — we ordered the salted cream matcha and strawberry matcha and worked out of the cafe until it was time for dinner.

PS: If you guys are looking for a notebook, Raxenne Maniquiz’s lay-flat thread bound notebooks can be found there.

Behind the Pod This Week

This week has been a more administrative one for us.

As we prepare to launch Podhaus, we want to do it properly. While we know there’s no such thing as a perfect time to launch a brand, having gone through this a few times now, we want to make sure that when we do, everything essential is in place — so your experience feels seamless from the start.

So lately, we’ve been focused on the quieter, more behind-the-scenes work: permits, bank accounts, and logistics — the less exciting parts, but the ones that will definitely matter.

But just when we thought it would be a fully administrative week, something arrived — one of the products that will complement your pods.

Safe to say… it made our week.

We can’t wait to share more with you soon.
