Founders’ Note

Hey Pod World! There’s more to Podhaus than just matcha.

A Note from the Founders

Lately we’ve been thinking a lot about rituals — the small things that help us reset in the middle of busy days.

For us, it’s often a quiet moment in the afternoon with a cup of matcha before jumping back into work. It’s simple, but it creates a pause — a moment to slow down and refocus.

Podhaus was really born from that idea. Life moves quickly, and sometimes the rituals we enjoy become the first things we give up when we’re busy. We wanted to create something that makes returning to those rituals easier.

We built Podhaus thinking about the community — what you need, the kind of life you live day to day, and how small rituals can fit realistically into that rhythm.

Through these weekly letters, we hope to share a few of those rituals with you — prompts, habits, favorite cafés to work from, and things we’re reading, watching, or listening to lately.

Wherever you are today, we hope you find a small moment to pause — even if it’s just a few minutes to reset.

Self Care Rituals

The Weekend Reset

Recovery takes a little longer these days now that we’re both in our 30s, so we’ve become more intentional about how we spend our time and energy on weekends. Our favorite way to slow down and prepare for another week of work is really to just pause for a moment — a quiet cup of matcha, a bit of journaling, spending time with our families, or simply listening to music. These small rituals help us reset and ease into the week ahead.

Journaling Prompts

  1. How are you feeling right now?

  2. What’s exciting you right now?

  3. What are 3 wins from this week?

  4. What didn’t go as planned this week?

    1. What can you learn from it?

  5. What among your yearly goals can or should you prioritize?

Favorite Café to Work From

One café we’ve been enjoying lately is Cartel in Salcedo. It has a quiet outdoor area that’s perfect for working, reflecting, or just slowing down for a bit. They serve great coffee — including beans from Yardstick — and their pastries are excellent too. The chocolate croissant is especially worth trying.

Behind the Pod This Week

A small look into what’s been happening while we build Podhaus.

This week has been a mix of exciting and slightly chaotic in the best way.

We’ve been finalizing the details of our packaging — making sure it isn’t just beautiful, but also something will make your rituals convenient.

At the same time, we’ve been planning the first Podhaus community gatherings we hope to host soon. The idea has always been to create more than just a product, but a space where people who care about small rituals and intentional living can come together.

And in between all of that, we’ve been experimenting with new drink recipes — some worked immediately, some definitely need a few more tries.

Building Podhaus has been a lot of small steps coming together, and it’s exciting to slowly see everything take shape.
